Migratory birds conservation |
|
Palearctic migratory birds whose life cycle is marked by seasonal intercontinental movements, constitute a natural heritage of humanity. Human activities have an increasing impact on many species; some of them are benefiting from these activities, most are threatened by them. OMPO carries out scientific studies on African-Eurasian migratory birds to determine their population trends and their regulating factors as well as their functioning in ecosystems, with the aim to evaluate their conservation status. The development and sharing of this knowledge is an essential condition to ensure a possible sustainable management.
