Habitat conservation became the major challenge for new policies promoting the maintenance of biodiversity, our true "natural capital". Any form of alteration of natural ecosystems directly affects the balance of populations and species survival. In the case of migratory birds whose existence depends on the seasonal use of sites distributed in various biogeographic regions, habitat conservation is only conceivable internationally. It is at this only level OMPO works on: from Russia to Western Africa.
